Sons and Daughters

The Creator of the universe addresses you as an affectionate Father. Your heavenly Father proposes to make you a member of the royal family, that through His exceeding great and precious promises you may be a partaker of the divine nature. All who enter into a covenant with Jesus Christ (accept and believe in Jesus) become by adoption the children of God.

The Word

The Bible is more than a book of rules, stories, poems, and letters. The Bible is the voice of God on paper and it is often referred to as “The Word of God.” The Word of God is fulfilled and revealed in the personhood of Jesus Christ and God’s salvation message. God’s Word is one of the ways He has chosen to communicate and establish a relationship with us.

2 Peter 3:5, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, John 1:1 and John 1:14

7) Benefits of the Word

Hunger and Obedience

If someone is deprived of food and water for an extended period of time, their physical body will weaken and eventually die. There is a spiritual parallel. The Word of God is our spiritual food and water. As surely as we will die physically without food and water, we will die spiritually without God’s word. As we eat of the “Word of God” we must understand that faith without works is dead and we have to be a doer of God’s Word.
