EVANGELISM and WORLD MISSIONS
Opening Scripture:
Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven
and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Share the Gospel
Before returning to heaven, Jesus promised to send the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus gave all His followers a job to do, and that was to share and take the message of salvation to every nation. Jesus desires us to proclaim this message with our words, deeds and demonstration of the Holy Spirit power. We are empowered! We have to have eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to obey. GO!

Evangelism and Power
We are Christ’s body and we are His representatives on earth. Jesus’ mission must be our mission. He has called us to proclaim the good news to the poor, the captives, the blind, and the oppressed. He has called us to participate in destroying the devil’s work. When we share the gospel, we are engaging in spiritual warfare. We must speak the truth with power. Jesus came to set the captive free.

Make Disciples
“Follow me and Go” are the foundational commands of Jesus to His disciples. As His disciples Jesus also calls us to “follow Him and go.” One of the main purposes of a disciple is to make more disciples. We are His mouth, hands, and feet.
